About Dr. Conkin: Dr. Conkin received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, Memphis, Tennessee.   Upon graduation, he began a career in the United States Navy and completed a general practice residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He practiced as a general dentist for the next two years, serving with and caring for Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.   He deployed to Iraq with the Marines in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. It's National Orthodontic Health Month, and to celebrate I thought I'd show this cool video of Dr. Emerick discussing the different types of occlusions (bites) that patients present with. Orthodontic treatment not only corrects dentin misalignment, but it also allows for the ever important correction of malocclusions as well. Attention Dental Family: Ladd Dental Group is proud to host their 13th annual "Free Smiles by Ladd" this Friday, 10/2! Dr. Newman, Dr. McLellan, Dr. Tisa & Dr. John Ladd, Dr. Emerick, and Dr. Au-Yeung will all be in attendance for our Free Smiles event, along with our talented dental hygienists and dental assistants!
