Dandy Clear Aligners | Grateful for Our Partnership

At LADD Dental Group, we believe that great dentistry is built on a commitment to lifelong learning. Our providers are constantly looking for ways to expand their skills, embrace new technology, and ultimately provide better treatment options for the families we serve across North Central Indiana.

That is why we were especially grateful to have the Dandy Clear Aligner team join us for our most recent provider meeting and provide our doctors with comprehensive clear aligner training.

The training was an incredible opportunity for our providers to go beyond simply understanding clear aligner technology. The Dandy team walked our doctors through treatment planning, case selection, digital workflows, clinical considerations, and strategies for creating predictable outcomes for our patients.

Clear aligner therapy has become an important part of modern dentistry. When used appropriately, it can provide patients with a comfortable, convenient, and discreet way to improve both the appearance and function of their smiles. Having the opportunity to learn directly from a team with deep expertise in clear aligner treatment helps our providers feel even more confident incorporating these solutions into patient care.

We also appreciate that the Dandy team understands that every patient and every case is different. Comprehensive training allows our doctors to better recognize which patients may benefit from clear aligner therapy, how to approach more complex cases, and when additional clinical considerations may be necessary.

Most importantly, this training is about our patients.

When our providers continue to learn and grow, our patients benefit. We want the families who trust LADD Dental Group with their care to know that we are continually investing in education, technology, and professional development so that we can offer modern, comprehensive dental care close to home.

We are incredibly thankful to the Dandy Clear Aligner team for taking the time to invest in our providers and share their expertise with our team. We are excited to take what we learned and put it into practice for our patients throughout North Central Indiana.

At LADD Dental Group, we truly believe that better-trained providers create better patient experiences—and we are grateful to partner with organizations like Dandy that share that commitment to continuous improvement.

2026 Dental Office Data | Struggling Performance Continues

Over the past decade, the dental industry experienced an unprecedented wave of consolidation. Private equity capital flowed into the profession, Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) expanded rapidly, and large multi-location platforms became a major force in the market. Recently, however, two major organizations— Dental Care Alliance and Affordable Care —have reportedly been taken over by their lenders following financial restructuring challenges. For many in the profession, this raises an important question: What does this mean for the future of dentistry ? The answer is nuanced, but it may signal a turning point for how dental organizations are built and financed going forward. The End of the “Growth at Any Cost” Era For many DSOs, the growth strategy of the past decade was simple: acquire as many practices as possible as quickly as possible. Low interest rates and strong investor appetite made this strategy viable. Debt financing allowed organizations to purchase pract...

Affordable Care Restructure | 2026 Dental Industry Impacts

The convergence of Affordable Care’s restructuring and broader financial strain across large DSOs is more than an isolated credit event — it’s a signal of structural pressure in the dental industry. Below is a strategic, operator-level view of the impacts likely to unfold. 1) Capital structure stress → Slower DSO expansion & recap cycles Affordable Care’s restructuring is largely debt-driven: The company is working with turnaround advisers after a $2.7B leveraged buyout left it with expensive floating-rate debt. Rising interest rates materially increased debt service costs. This dynamic is industry-wide: Many DSOs and small groups financed growth with variable debt that has jumped from ~4% to 10%+ interest costs. Some platforms have been unable to recapitalize amid economic uncertainty. Impacts Fewer aggressive roll-ups and de novo expansions Lower EBITDA multiples on acquisitions More minority recap deals vs. full exits Delayed liquidity e...
