As of November 2017, 33 states including the District of Columbia expanded Medicaid eligibility. Of those states, 24 states including the District of Columbia provide at least limited dental benefits for adults (updated December 2017). Demand for Medicaid dental services among children and adults is likely to increase moving forward, regardless of Medicaid expansion.
