Ladd Dental pivoting to the Latest Cloud Based Dental Management Software: Denticon

Ladd Dental Group is excited to announce that we are switching dental management software systems, in order to provide better comprehensive dental care to our patients. Today is training session number three, and we go live with the new software program starting on Monday, 12/11. Our new software package will allow all of our offices with access to each of our six General practice's schedules, as well as our Oral Surgery Center  schedule and our Periodontist's schedule. Changing software programs is never easy, but long term our patients are going to benefit exponentially. The new software program is called Denticon, and it was created by Planet DDS! Everybody here at Ladd is excited for this transition, and we cant wait for our patients to experience the benefits that this new system provides!

Planet DDS has been providing cloud-based dental practice management software for over a decade. And that’s a good thing, because it takes a lot of actual user experience to refine functionality to the point we’ve achieved today. They also performed thousands of data conversions for practices that switched over to Denticon from a legacy solution, which has allowed them to fine-tune our on-boarding process. Every day, thousands of users log into Denticon to help run their practices. No matter how well capitalized or how big the software vendor, there is no substitute for hard-earned experience in the cloud. Collectively, their management team has over a century of experience in the dental industry, having started six individual dental ventures. Their experience ranges from the technical to the clinical with dental professionals contributing to every design and functionality decision.

Once we are live with Denticon, our patients will be able to schedule their appointments in REAL Time, without having to call or contact our office. This is just one of the many capabilities that Denticon will provide to our Ladd family of patients!

Dentist in Geist | LADD Dental Group

Dr. David Geiger is excited about joining LADD Dental Group in McCordsville for many reasons. A Geist native, Dr. Geiger graduated from Lawrence Central High School and attended DePauw University in Greencastle before meeting his wife Kelsey in dental school at the University of Louisville back in 2015. Kelsey decided to join the Air Force and the couple was stationed in California for a year after dental school, followed by Missouri where Dr. Geiger has honed his oral surgery skills. Even while venturing out to the west coast after finishing dental school, Dr. Geiger always had his sights set on eventually returning to the Hoosier state where he grew up. Last summer Dalton Albertin, director of marketing and business development with LADD Dental Group, reached out to Dr. Geiger about joining the LADD team at its McCordsville office, which opened in November of 2017. After Kelsey completed her service in the Air Force, the couple made plans to reloc…

Alveoloplasty | What is Alveoloplasty

Alveoloplasty

Alveoloplasty is a dental pre-prosthetic procedure performed to smoothen or reshape the jawbone. In this procedure, the bony edges of the alveolar ridge and its surrounding structures is made smooth, redesigned or recontoured so that a well-fitting, comfortable, and esthetic dental prosthesis may be fabricated.

Alveoloplasty for Dentures

Fitting for dentures. If you're missing teeth and are being fitted for full or partial denturesalveoloplasty may be necessary to ensure a snug fit on the gum. Bumps and ridges in the bone can cause gaps between the denture and the gum.

Healing for the Denture

The dentist will provide you with temporary immediate dentures as the gum tissue heals. Once the tissues are fully healed, the time is right to add dentures to your mouth. In general, it usually takes between six and eight weeks following the tooth extraction for dentures to be placed. However, each patient is unique.
