Ladd Dental pivoting to the Latest Cloud Based Dental Management Software: Denticon

Ladd Dental Group is excited to announce that we are switching dental management software systems, in order to provide better comprehensive dental care to our patients. Today is training session number three, and we go live with the new software program starting on Monday, 12/11. Our new software package will allow all of our offices with access to each of our six General practice's schedules, as well as our Oral Surgery Center  schedule and our Periodontist's schedule. Changing software programs is never easy, but long term our patients are going to benefit exponentially. The new software program is called Denticon, and it was created by Planet DDS! Everybody here at Ladd is excited for this transition, and we cant wait for our patients to experience the benefits that this new system provides!

Planet DDS has been providing cloud-based dental practice management software for over a decade. And that’s a good thing, because it takes a lot of actual user experience to refine functionality to the point we’ve achieved today. They also performed thousands of data conversions for practices that switched over to Denticon from a legacy solution, which has allowed them to fine-tune our on-boarding process. Every day, thousands of users log into Denticon to help run their practices. No matter how well capitalized or how big the software vendor, there is no substitute for hard-earned experience in the cloud. Collectively, their management team has over a century of experience in the dental industry, having started six individual dental ventures. Their experience ranges from the technical to the clinical with dental professionals contributing to every design and functionality decision.

Once we are live with Denticon, our patients will be able to schedule their appointments in REAL Time, without having to call or contact our office. This is just one of the many capabilities that Denticon will provide to our Ladd family of patients!

Dental Implants Vs. Dentures & Bridges | LADD Dental Group

Implants versus dentures and bridges
"Dental implants are increasingly becoming a popular alternative to dentures and bridges. Compare the options and see why: Tooth-supported fixed bridge. The most common alternative to dental implants for a single tooth, fixed bridges involve grinding away – in other words, intentionally damaging – healthy adjacent teeth that are used to attach and support the bridge. The tooth-supported bridge does not stimulate natural bone growth beneath it, so the bone may deteriorate over time. Bridges generally fail after 5-10 years because patient have difficulty flossing them, which makes the root surfaces below and around the bridgework highly susceptible to decay.
Removable partial dentures. Although these don't require grinding down adjacent teeth, they are not nearly as stable or comfortable as dental implants and can affect speech and eating. This type of restoration is less expensive but doesn’t look as natural or function as well as an implant…
