Ladd Dental pivoting to the Latest Cloud Based Dental Management Software: Denticon

Ladd Dental Group is excited to announce that we are switching dental management software systems, in order to provide better comprehensive dental care to our patients. Today is training session number three, and we go live with the new software program starting on Monday, 12/11. Our new software package will allow all of our offices with access to each of our six General practice's schedules, as well as our Oral Surgery Center  schedule and our Periodontist's schedule. Changing software programs is never easy, but long term our patients are going to benefit exponentially. The new software program is called Denticon, and it was created by Planet DDS! Everybody here at Ladd is excited for this transition, and we cant wait for our patients to experience the benefits that this new system provides!

Planet DDS has been providing cloud-based dental practice management software for over a decade. And that’s a good thing, because it takes a lot of actual user experience to refine functionality to the point we’ve achieved today. They also performed thousands of data conversions for practices that switched over to Denticon from a legacy solution, which has allowed them to fine-tune our on-boarding process. Every day, thousands of users log into Denticon to help run their practices. No matter how well capitalized or how big the software vendor, there is no substitute for hard-earned experience in the cloud. Collectively, their management team has over a century of experience in the dental industry, having started six individual dental ventures. Their experience ranges from the technical to the clinical with dental professionals contributing to every design and functionality decision.

Once we are live with Denticon, our patients will be able to schedule their appointments in REAL Time, without having to call or contact our office. This is just one of the many capabilities that Denticon will provide to our Ladd family of patients!

Dental Surgery Post-Op | Dental Healing

Dental Surgery Post-Op | Dental Healing     Post dental surgery , it is normal to feel some pain and discomfort after the anesthesia wears off. For 24 hours after having a tooth pulled , you should also expect  some swelling and residual bleeding . Peak swelling will take place at the 72 hour mark, and the pain and swelling should start to dissipate from there. However, if either bleeding or pain is still severe more than four hours after your tooth is pulled, you should call your dentist right away.     Post dental surgery , it is very important the patient not spit or rinse for 24 hours after surgery.   Keep your fingers and tongue away from the extraction site or surgical area.   Use ice packs on surgical area (side of face) for first 24 to 48 hours , apply ice 20 minutes on - 10 minutes off. Ice is very helpful in reducing the swelling post dental extraction .  In terms of time off post dental surgery , typically your dentist will ask that you at least take about 48-72 hours t
