Wisdom Tooth Extraction | Painless Dental Surgery
I just had my impacted wisdom tooth extracted this past week and I wanted to talk about my overall experience with the procedure and the healing process.
Here is my Facebook Post from the day of the dental procedure: "❤️Heartfelt thank you to Dr. David Geiger and Andrea Willis for taking such good care of me today. Not gunna lie I was a little nervous this morning, but in the end, there was absolutely nothing to worry about!"
The day of my wisdom tooth surgery, I was a little nervous. Dr. Geiger recommended that I use Nitrous Oxide to help me relax during the procedure. At LADD Dental Group, we offer multiple forms of sedation dentistry, but I felt like Nitrous was the best sedation dentistry option for me.
During the procedure I didn't feel any pain. There were certain times that I felt pressure and could feel them applying force to get the tooth out, but I never felt pain. Dr. Geiger made sure I was comfortable to entire time, and kept me informed during the surgery.
As you can see in the video, I didn't even feel the tooth come out. The entire procedure took about 35 minutes and it was a much better experience than I was expecting. Dr. Geiger and his dental team deserve a ton of credit and I am so grateful for the level of care they provided me.
After the procedure I was a little sore, but nothing major. It was a little tender to eat, but other than that, it really has not been a bad post-op healing process. I was given some pain pills and a few other medications to help with the healing, but overall I have felt pretty well.
I have had a little bit of swelling the past 48 hours, but again, nothing major. My wife and I even got a little bike ride and walk in the past few days.
All things considered, I have had a very good wisdom tooth surgery experience. The level of care I received at LADD Dental Group in McCordsville was exceptional, and the healing process has been very smooth.
