Building A New Dental Office | Dental Office Build Out

Building A New Dental Office | Dental Office Build Out

Thinking of building a new dental office?! There are a lot of things to think about and a couple of very important factors that need addressed at the start of the build out. In this blog, we are going to highlight some of the important aspects of a dental office build out and give you some insights into how we designed our new dental practice in Wabash!

Plumbing and electrical work are the two most important factors to consider when building a dental practice! To run a dental chair effectively, you need electrical and plumbing to hook up to the chair. This takes a lot of pre-planning because it is very difficult and expensive to add these features later. Patterson Dental helped us a ton with getting our dental chairs fully operational in our new office!

Technology is another huge factor that needs to be planned ahead of time. In the dental field, we rely mightily on technology, and it is vital to have all of the electrical outlets and internet ports wired and installed early. This gets very expensive to add after the build-out, so it is very important to get the dental technology organized early in the process!

These are just a few of the important factors to consider when building a new dental office! Please comment below with any questions and we would be happy to get more into detail on any of these building/design features!

And as always, if you or your family is looking for a new dentist, our brand new dental office in Wabash is currently accepting new patients!!

Dental Work | Importance of Routine Dental Care | Preventative Dental Care

Importance of Routine Dental Care  When I was in my 30s and a dentist told me I needed a few crowns , I decided to skip the expensive devices because of my meager paycheck. Besides, my teeth weren't hurting. Years later, I am paying the price in pain and costlier dental work . One of the damaged teeth that needed a crown distorted my bite, making a minor jaw-joint problem even worse. Unfortunately I'm far from alone. The price of dental care is steep for many people financially, physically and even socially, according to Marko Vujicic, chief economist and vice president of the Health Policy Institute at the American Dental Association. Vujicic said that the  majority of emergency room dental visits  were for infections that could be handled in a dentist's office. Overall, emergency room dental visits cost $1.9 billion yearly, 40 percent of which is public money, according to his institute's analysis of data from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quali...
