Dental Partnerships | Indiana Dental Group

It is absolutely vital to know and understand the dental organization that you decide to partner with. In this blog, we will highlight our relationship with the remarkable Dr. Todd Dill, and talk about how our transition has gone thus far and share in our excitement moving forward. We will also talk a little about ImmediaDent and why they are a good dental support organization case study!

Dr. Todd Dill, Dr. Kelsey McCoy and their wonderful Logansport team have been a stellar addition to our LADD Dental family! Dr. Dill found a situation where he can truly "retire in practice" and he is able to mentor and guide Dr. McCoy on taking over his practice and share in his dental philosophy. Being a provider led DSO, we understand how important it is for the dentist to dictate all things clinical and treatment related. Our primary function is to provide support on the back end and with the administrative tasks that are difficult and time consuming.  As you can see, it has been a wonder dental partnership and we are so excited for the future!

Why it's important to know the dental organization that you are partnering with. ImmediaDent just settle with the state of Indiana on their second lawsuit. In 2016, they were fined over 5 million dollars by Medicaid and the State of Indiana, and just this year agreed to settle with over 22,000 Hoosier families and reimburse them at the tune of 2.1 million dollars. As a dentist, you can on the reputation of the practice that you work for. Being associated with this type of dental organization can have negative impact on a providers career long term, and that is why it is so vital to know and understand the dental practice that you are partnering with! Thanks so much as always and please let us know what dental content you would like to learn more about!

Dental Work | Importance of Routine Dental Care | Preventative Dental Care

Importance of Routine Dental Care  When I was in my 30s and a dentist told me I needed a few crowns , I decided to skip the expensive devices because of my meager paycheck. Besides, my teeth weren't hurting. Years later, I am paying the price in pain and costlier dental work . One of the damaged teeth that needed a crown distorted my bite, making a minor jaw-joint problem even worse. Unfortunately I'm far from alone. The price of dental care is steep for many people financially, physically and even socially, according to Marko Vujicic, chief economist and vice president of the Health Policy Institute at the American Dental Association. Vujicic said that the  majority of emergency room dental visits  were for infections that could be handled in a dentist's office. Overall, emergency room dental visits cost $1.9 billion yearly, 40 percent of which is public money, according to his institute's analysis of data from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quali...
