Dental Discount Plan > Dental Insurance

Dental discount plans like Ladd Dental Group’s Dental One Discount Plan can often be superior to traditional dental insurance for helping patients save money on their care—especially for those who are uninsured, underinsured, or want more transparent, hassle-free access to care. Here’s why:

🦷 1. No Premiums, No Annual Maximums

  • Traditional insurance: Patients pay monthly premiums whether they use the plan or not, and most plans cap annual benefits (often around $1,000–$1,500).

  • Dental One Discount Plan: No monthly premiums. Patients pay a low annual membership fee and get unlimited savings throughout the year.

💰 2. Transparent, Upfront Savings

  • Insurance: Copays, deductibles, and unclear reimbursement schedules make it hard for patients to know what they owe.

  • Dental One: Offers predictable discounts (often 20–100%) on dental prophecies, fillings, crowns, and more—patients know exactly what they’ll pay, with no surprises.

⏱️ 3. No Waiting Periods or Pre-Approvals

  • Insurance: Many plans have waiting periods (up to 12 months) for major procedures and require pre-authorization.

  • Dental One: Immediate use. Patients can start saving on day one, with no approvals needed for dental treatment.

🚫 4. No Denials or Exclusions for Pre-Existing Conditions

  • Insurance: May deny coverage or impose restrictions for pre-existing dental problems.

  • Dental One: Everyone is accepted, and all procedures are eligible for discounts—no medical underwriting or treatment history limits.

👫 5. Better for Families and Uninsured Individuals

  • Dental insurance: Adding family members significantly raises premiums.

  • Dental One: Often includes discounts for entire households, making it more cost-effective for families, seniors, and small business employees.

🛠️ 6. Designed by Dentists, Not Insurance Companies

  • Insurance: Often sets reimbursement rates that don’t reflect actual costs, limiting the type of care dentists can provide.

  • Dental One: Built by Ladd Dental Group’s own providers, so it supports quality care without compromising value.

Dental Work | Importance of Routine Dental Care | Preventative Dental Care

Importance of Routine Dental Care  When I was in my 30s and a dentist told me I needed a few crowns , I decided to skip the expensive devices because of my meager paycheck. Besides, my teeth weren't hurting. Years later, I am paying the price in pain and costlier dental work . One of the damaged teeth that needed a crown distorted my bite, making a minor jaw-joint problem even worse. Unfortunately I'm far from alone. The price of dental care is steep for many people financially, physically and even socially, according to Marko Vujicic, chief economist and vice president of the Health Policy Institute at the American Dental Association. Vujicic said that the  majority of emergency room dental visits  were for infections that could be handled in a dentist's office. Overall, emergency room dental visits cost $1.9 billion yearly, 40 percent of which is public money, according to his institute's analysis of data from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quali...
