Baby Bottle Tooth Decay | How to Avoid Bottle Rot

 As parents, we all want the best for our children—including a healthy, happy smile. But did you know that one of the most common dental problems in young children is something called baby bottle tooth decay , sometimes referred to as bottle rot ? This condition occurs when a baby’s teeth are exposed to sugary liquids like milk, formula, or juice for long periods of time, especially during naps or bedtime. When sugars linger on the teeth, harmful bacteria in the mouth feed on them and produce acid. Over time, this acid weakens tooth enamel, leading to cavities, pain, and even early tooth loss.
