Clear Aligner Treatment | Week 3 Completed

Starting my SureSmile Clear Aligner treatment has been an exciting step toward achieving the confident, healthy smile I've always wanted. As I hit the three-week mark, I wanted to reflect on my experience so far and share some insights for anyone curious about clear aligner therapy.

Getting Started

The process began with a thorough consultation and 3D scan of my teeth at LADD Dental Group. Seeing the projected transformation of my smile was both motivating and reassuring. The aligners were custom-made to fit my teeth perfectly, and I started wearing the first set right away.

Adjusting to the Aligners

The first few days were an adjustment, as expected. My teeth felt a slight pressure, which I welcomed as a sign that the aligners were working. Speaking with the aligners in place took some getting used to, but within a week, it felt completely natural.

Removing the aligners for meals was another change in my routine, but it’s helped me become more mindful about snacking and drinking sugary beverages—a bonus I didn’t expect!

My Progress and Comfort

Three weeks in, I’ve already noticed subtle changes in my teeth. It’s exciting to see progress this early in the journey! The aligners are surprisingly comfortable; they fit snugly and don’t irritate my gums or cheeks. I’ve also been diligent about cleaning them, which has been easy with the cleaning solution provided.

Tips for Success

  • Stay Consistent: Wearing the aligners for the recommended 20-22 hours a day is key.
  • Keep a Case Handy: Always have the aligner case nearby to avoid misplacing them during meals.
  • Stay Positive: Seeing small changes reminds me why I started this journey, and that keeps me motivated.

Looking Ahead

I’m excited to continue my SureSmile journey and see even more progress. The aligners have already boosted my confidence, knowing I’m taking a proactive step toward a better smile. I’m grateful for the support and expertise of my dental team at LADD Dental Group for making this experience seamless and rewarding.

If you’re considering SureSmile Clear Aligners, I highly recommend it! The process is straightforward, and the results are worth it. Stay tuned as I continue my journey and share more updates in the weeks ahead!

Dental Work | Importance of Routine Dental Care | Preventative Dental Care

Importance of Routine Dental Care  When I was in my 30s and a dentist told me I needed a few crowns , I decided to skip the expensive devices because of my meager paycheck. Besides, my teeth weren't hurting. Years later, I am paying the price in pain and costlier dental work . One of the damaged teeth that needed a crown distorted my bite, making a minor jaw-joint problem even worse. Unfortunately I'm far from alone. The price of dental care is steep for many people financially, physically and even socially, according to Marko Vujicic, chief economist and vice president of the Health Policy Institute at the American Dental Association. Vujicic said that the  majority of emergency room dental visits  were for infections that could be handled in a dentist's office. Overall, emergency room dental visits cost $1.9 billion yearly, 40 percent of which is public money, according to his institute's analysis of data from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quali...
