Building Local Indiana Relationships Through Tennis & Competition

We are incredibly excited about the opportunity to create Indy-centric tennis content and, more importantly, to use tennis as a way to build relationships throughout our community.

For us, tennis has always been about much more than competition.

It is about meeting new people.
It is about creating friendships.
It is about competing against someone and then shaking their hand at the net.
It is about learning from one another, encouraging one another, and becoming part of something bigger than yourself.

That is what makes this opportunity so exciting.

Our Channel Is About Relationships

One of the coolest parts of being involved in the Indianapolis tennis community has been the ability to compete while simultaneously meeting so many great people.

Every match creates an opportunity to make a new connection.

Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. But either way, you walk away having shared an experience with someone who loves the game just as much as you do.

Those relationships are what make sports so special.

And honestly, we see a lot of similarities between tennis and dentistry.

Making Dentistry More Relational

At LADD Dental Group, our goal has always been to make the dental experience more personal.

We know that going to the dentist can be intimidating for a lot of people. Sometimes it is the sound of the equipment. Sometimes it is a previous bad experience. Sometimes it is simply the uncertainty of not knowing what to expect.

But behind every dental appointment is a person.

And we believe people want to be treated like people — not like a number on a schedule.

That is why we are passionate about creating content through the LADD Dental Group YouTube channel that shows the human side of dentistry.

We want patients to see our doctors, team members and partners as real people with real personalities, real stories and real relationships.

If we can make someone laugh, introduce them to a member of our dental family, show them what happens behind the scenes, or simply help them feel more comfortable before they ever walk through our doors, then we have accomplished something meaningful.

Why Tennis Fits So Well

Tennis gives us a natural way to tell those stories.

It allows us to compete.

It allows us to have fun.

It allows us to meet people throughout Indianapolis and Central Indiana.

And most importantly, it allows us to build relationships.

Whether we are talking about a tennis match, a conversation with another player, a new friendship, or a connection within the dental community, the common thread is people.

That is really what our content is about.

People. Relationships. Community.

Our Goal

We don't want the LADD Dental Group YouTube channel to feel like traditional dental advertising.

We want it to feel authentic.

We want people to get to know us.

We want our community to see that dentists are people, dental teams are people, and that there are real relationships behind the care we provide.

And if our Indy tennis content gives us the opportunity to meet more people, compete, make new friends and create meaningful relationships along the way, we are incredibly grateful for that opportunity.

Because at the end of the day, whether we are standing across the net from someone on a tennis court or sitting across from a patient in a dental chair, relationships matter.

And that is exactly the kind of dentistry — and the kind of community — we want to help build.

Let's keep competing. Let's keep connecting. And let's keep making dentistry a little less scary and a lot more relational.

2026 Dental Office Data | Struggling Performance Continues

Over the past decade, the dental industry experienced an unprecedented wave of consolidation. Private equity capital flowed into the profession, Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) expanded rapidly, and large multi-location platforms became a major force in the market. Recently, however, two major organizations— Dental Care Alliance and Affordable Care —have reportedly been taken over by their lenders following financial restructuring challenges. For many in the profession, this raises an important question: What does this mean for the future of dentistry ? The answer is nuanced, but it may signal a turning point for how dental organizations are built and financed going forward. The End of the “Growth at Any Cost” Era For many DSOs, the growth strategy of the past decade was simple: acquire as many practices as possible as quickly as possible. Low interest rates and strong investor appetite made this strategy viable. Debt financing allowed organizations to purchase pract...

Affordable Care Restructure | 2026 Dental Industry Impacts

The convergence of Affordable Care’s restructuring and broader financial strain across large DSOs is more than an isolated credit event — it’s a signal of structural pressure in the dental industry. Below is a strategic, operator-level view of the impacts likely to unfold. 1) Capital structure stress → Slower DSO expansion & recap cycles Affordable Care’s restructuring is largely debt-driven: The company is working with turnaround advisers after a $2.7B leveraged buyout left it with expensive floating-rate debt. Rising interest rates materially increased debt service costs. This dynamic is industry-wide: Many DSOs and small groups financed growth with variable debt that has jumped from ~4% to 10%+ interest costs. Some platforms have been unable to recapitalize amid economic uncertainty. Impacts Fewer aggressive roll-ups and de novo expansions Lower EBITDA multiples on acquisitions More minority recap deals vs. full exits Delayed liquidity e...
