Delta Dental of Indiana provides your dental services under Healthy Indiana Plan. Dental care is very important for your health and well-being. Regular check-ups every six months can help prevent decay and reduce the risk of other health issues, such as heart disease and low birth weight. Below are the dental services that are covered under Healthy Indiana Plan.

Dental Benefits Covered

HIP Plus

  • Oral exams every six months.
  • Emergency oral exams.
  • Complete set of X-rays once every five years.
  • Bite-wing X-rays once every 12 months.
  • Teeth cleaning once every six months.
  • Minor restorative services like fillings (limited to four teeth per year).
  • Major restorative services like crowns (limited to 1 per year).

HIP Basic (members 19-20 years old)

  • Oral exams every six months.*
  • Emergency oral exams.
  • Complete set of X-rays once every three years.
  • Bite-wing X-rays once every 12 months.
  • Teeth cleaning once every six months.*
  • Emergency dental care.

HIP State Basic

  • Oral exams every six months.
  • Emergency oral exams.
  • Complete set of X-rays once every three years.
  • Bite-wing X-rays once every 12 months.
  • Teeth cleaning once every six months.*
  • Minor restorative services such as fillings.
  • Dentures and denture repairs.
  • Extractions.

HIP State Plus

  • Oral exams every six months.
  • Emergency oral exams.
  • Complete set of X-rays once every three years.
  • Bite-wing X-rays once every 12 months.
  • Teeth cleaning once every six months.*
  • Minor restorative services such as fillings.
  • Dentures and denture repairs.
  • Extractions.

All HIP Pregnancy Plans

  • Oral exams every six months.*
  • Emergency oral exams.
  • Complete set of X-rays once every three years.
  • Bite-wing X-rays once every 12 months.
  • Teeth cleaning once every six months.*
  • Minor restorative services such as fillings (limit 1 filling per tooth per year).
  • Extractions, Surgical Removal of Erupted or Impacted Tooth (No limit).
  • Dentures and denture repairs.

*Exams and cleanings must be at least 6 months apart

 We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Steven Mah , our newest addition to the LADD Dental Group family. Dr. Mah was born and raised in Evansville, IN, where his passion for helping others began. He pursued a Biology degree at the University of Southern Indiana, graduating in 2019. Driven by his dedication to the dental profession, Dr. Mah went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2024.
