Meet Dr. Cottle | LADD Dental Group of Rushville

At LADD Dental Group, we believe that exceptional dental care starts with exceptional people. That's why we are thrilled to introduce Dr. Olsen Cottle, DDS, who will be serving patients at our new Rushville location and helping continue the tradition of outstanding dental care for the Rushville community.

A Passion for Dentistry and Patient Care

Dr. Olsen Cottle earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, one of the nation's premier dental schools. Throughout his education and training, he developed a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

For Dr. Cottle, dentistry is about much more than treating teeth—it's about helping people improve their health, confidence, and quality of life. Whether it's helping a patient overcome dental anxiety, restoring a smile, or providing preventive care that keeps families healthy for years to come, he approaches every patient interaction with compassion and genuine care.

Building Relationships That Last

One of the things Dr. Cottle enjoys most about dentistry is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with his patients. He believes that trust is the foundation of great dental care and takes the time to listen to each patient's concerns, goals, and needs.

His goal is simple: to make every patient feel comfortable, respected, and confident in their dental care. By taking a personalized approach to treatment, Dr. Cottle helps patients make informed decisions about their oral health and creates positive experiences that keep them smiling.

Serving a Diverse Community

Dr. Cottle is fluent in Spanish, allowing him to communicate directly with Spanish-speaking patients and families. He understands the importance of clear communication in healthcare and is passionate about ensuring every patient feels heard, understood, and valued.

His ability to serve both English and Spanish-speaking patients helps make quality dental care more accessible and welcoming for the diverse communities we serve.

Excited to Serve Rushville

As LADD Dental Group expands into Rushville, Dr. Cottle is excited to become an active part of this wonderful community. He looks forward to getting to know local families, building lasting relationships, and providing high-quality dental care for patients of all ages.

"We're honored to have the opportunity to serve Rushville and continue the legacy of patient-focused dental care in this community," said Dr. Cottle. "I look forward to meeting patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles."

2026 Dental Office Data | Struggling Performance Continues

Over the past decade, the dental industry experienced an unprecedented wave of consolidation. Private equity capital flowed into the profession, Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) expanded rapidly, and large multi-location platforms became a major force in the market. Recently, however, two major organizations— Dental Care Alliance and Affordable Care —have reportedly been taken over by their lenders following financial restructuring challenges. For many in the profession, this raises an important question: What does this mean for the future of dentistry ? The answer is nuanced, but it may signal a turning point for how dental organizations are built and financed going forward. The End of the “Growth at Any Cost” Era For many DSOs, the growth strategy of the past decade was simple: acquire as many practices as possible as quickly as possible. Low interest rates and strong investor appetite made this strategy viable. Debt financing allowed organizations to purchase pract...

Affordable Care Restructure | 2026 Dental Industry Impacts

The convergence of Affordable Care’s restructuring and broader financial strain across large DSOs is more than an isolated credit event — it’s a signal of structural pressure in the dental industry. Below is a strategic, operator-level view of the impacts likely to unfold. 1) Capital structure stress → Slower DSO expansion & recap cycles Affordable Care’s restructuring is largely debt-driven: The company is working with turnaround advisers after a $2.7B leveraged buyout left it with expensive floating-rate debt. Rising interest rates materially increased debt service costs. This dynamic is industry-wide: Many DSOs and small groups financed growth with variable debt that has jumped from ~4% to 10%+ interest costs. Some platforms have been unable to recapitalize amid economic uncertainty. Impacts Fewer aggressive roll-ups and de novo expansions Lower EBITDA multiples on acquisitions More minority recap deals vs. full exits Delayed liquidity e...
