Investing in Excellence: Grateful for the Koerner Center's Commitment to Dental Education

Here at LADD Dental Group, one of our core beliefs is that our patients deserve the very best care possible. That commitment extends far beyond our dental offices—it means continually investing in education, advanced training, and the pursuit of clinical excellence.

That is why we are incredibly grateful for the educational opportunities provided by The Koerner Center for Surgical Excellence.

The Koerner Center has earned a national reputation for providing exceptional continuing education in oral surgery for general dentists. Their hands-on approach, evidence-based instruction, and dedication to helping clinicians build confidence have created an outstanding learning environment for dentists looking to expand their surgical skills.

We are especially proud of Dr. Flores, Dr. Bala Sankurati, and Dr. Olsen Cottle, who have each participated in the Koerner Center's surgical education programs. Every one of them has returned with tremendous experiences, renewed confidence, and valuable knowledge that directly benefits the patients we have the privilege of serving throughout North Central Indiana.

Continuing education is about much more than earning CE credits. It is about becoming a better clinician, improving patient outcomes, and ensuring that families have access to advanced dental care close to home. The additional surgical training our doctors receive allows us to provide more comprehensive treatment options while maintaining the compassionate, relationship-focused care that has defined LADD Dental Group for decades.

Whether it's performing more complex surgical extractions, improving treatment planning, or enhancing patient comfort throughout the surgical process, the lessons learned at the Koerner Center are making a meaningful difference every day.

We also recognize that great education requires great educators. The instructors and team at the Koerner Center have created an environment where dentists are encouraged to ask questions, refine their techniques, and continually grow. We sincerely appreciate their passion for teaching and their commitment to advancing the profession of dentistry.

Our investment in continuing education reflects our investment in the communities we serve. Every course our doctors attend, every new technique they master, and every skill they bring back ultimately benefits the families who place their trust in us.

To the entire team at the Koerner Center, thank you for your dedication to dental education and for helping dentists across the country elevate the care they provide.

And to our patients throughout North Central Indiana, thank you for allowing us to continually grow alongside you. We remain committed to learning, improving, and bringing the latest techniques and highest standards of care back to the communities we proudly call home.

Dental Work | Importance of Routine Dental Care | Preventative Dental Care

Importance of Routine Dental Care  When I was in my 30s and a dentist told me I needed a few crowns , I decided to skip the expensive devices because of my meager paycheck. Besides, my teeth weren't hurting. Years later, I am paying the price in pain and costlier dental work . One of the damaged teeth that needed a crown distorted my bite, making a minor jaw-joint problem even worse. Unfortunately I'm far from alone. The price of dental care is steep for many people financially, physically and even socially, according to Marko Vujicic, chief economist and vice president of the Health Policy Institute at the American Dental Association. Vujicic said that the  majority of emergency room dental visits  were for infections that could be handled in a dentist's office. Overall, emergency room dental visits cost $1.9 billion yearly, 40 percent of which is public money, according to his institute's analysis of data from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quali...
